Did you know that a duck can close one eye and put half of its brain to sleep? That's amazing, considering that they live in the wild with crazy factors that we've never even considered. Unfortunately, you can't do that. Your brain is firing at such a fast rate with managing and processing thoughts, information, decisions, maintenance, self-protection and feelings. You have so much to think about during a day, it's difficult to organize and discern what, when, why and how to do almost anything. If you want to have a healthy, productive day, what's the first thing you should do? Calm your mind. If you want to relax and be at peace, what should you do? Calm your mind. If you are under stress, worried or confused, the best thing you can do to move forward is calm your mind. There are many ways to do it and, once you get used to it, it's easy. Yoga, breathing techniques, exercise, MCR, laughter, meditation, a cup of tea… there are so many things that you can do to give your mind a blank slate and reset. Then, when stress hits, be like a duck: be calm on the surface and paddle like crazy underneath.
