I was talking to a firefighter once about the dangers of his job. He talked about how one of the biggest factors is actually visibility and the volume of smoke. The flames burn the oxygen in the room and that can be more immediately dangerous than the flames. When a building is on fire, smoke varies and is much more prevalent in certain situations. Smoke tends to overtake a room much faster than the flames. As a firefighter, sometimes the best thing to do before going into a building is calculate wind direction and employ a powerful fan to pull the smoke out of the structure. "When you are certain that nobody is trapped inside, often times it's better to take a few moments to use a professional fan to get rid of most of the smoke before you go inside." It's called Positive Pressure Ventilation and there are many studies on the effects it has on the scene.
In GIN we have a saying, "Go as far as you can see and when you get there, you'll see further." When you are going after your dream and dive right in, are you setting yourself up for success in as many ways as possible? Are you spreading yourself too thin and actually creating more work for yourself? Know and see the path you are taking – clear that path and get to the next steps. Don't let the virtual smoke get in your way.
Es ist so wichtig, dieses Feuer in sich zu spüren.
Dann bin ich in Verbindung mit meinem Warum ich das Ziel erreichen will.
Dann hält mich nichts mehr zurück.
