Do you know someone who is "set in their ways?" It's they way that works for them and it's the way they've always done it. It's been so long, they can't or don't want to change for anyone or anything. They're stubborn, aren't they? They won't budge, will they? Wait… is it you? If you think about it, that person is you. You're set in your ways. You're stubborn. There are many things that you are won't budge or allow to change. It has always worked for you (kind of). It's hard to see, but we all have it.
The problem is, this thinking does not allow for growth. You've heard the powerful statement, "If you want things in your life to change, you'll have to change things in your life." Change things in your life. You need new training and information to allow for new thinking. The old habits do not promote change. Old habits don't like growth. When you add new information into your life, you have breakthroughs and create positive new habits. Studies have shown that when people have something new in their life – a new idea that they are excited about, a new positive habit, a new baby, a new friend, a new idea, etc - they display behaviors of obsessive-compulsive behavior (typically in a positive way). This new thinking allows you to break out of a routine and be in control of your new direction. Break free from old thinking and allow yourself to take on some new ideas.
