Start Somewhere

Wednesday, August 15, 2018

The gym can be intimidating: all that confusing equipment, loud noises, people who know what to do and how to do it. It's the same with a new sport or activity: you don't know what you don't know, so you avoid it until you force yourself into it or someone teaches you how. Either way, you should feel the need to be physical every day in your life. Your body and brain function so much better when you are healthy. You start to look and feel great. Your spirits are lifted. And you develop more confidence in who you are. You don't have to be a body builder or a model, just start with moving and getting yourself and your body in the right "mindset." Start somewhere. Move more. Make it your objective to sweat a little bit (or a lot) every day and you will get closer to your goals and dreams. "Exercise, prayer, and meditation are examples of calming rituals. They have been shown to induce a happier mood and provide a positive pathway through life's daily frustrations."– Chuck Norris
