Patience is one of the most difficult lessons of all. The more you learn and grow, the more you want instant gratification. It's helpful to remember all of the ways in which delayed gratification is worth the price of time. "A jug," Buddha says, "fills drop by drop." If you don't trust it, you will watch the jug fill and, regardless of what is actually happening, you won't see progress. And even if you are more experienced, established and wise, does not mean you can speed up time. Would you really want to anyway?
"The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride." Ecclesiastes 7:8
