The first day of March is always an adventure: Spring is 20 days away – with respect to our friends in the Southern Hemisphere and "Down Under," – and it's the end of the first quarter of the year. The days start to get longer, and you can see signs of warmer temperatures and even growth in the vegetation. Yet, depending on where you live, it's still cold outside… in some areas, it's downright miserable. There will still be snow (sometimes in April [cancel], sometimes in May [cancel, cancel!]), the wind will still howl and the frost can still bite. You're close to the end of winter with only a few obstacles in the way.

The same may just be for your goals and dreams. You've spent time and sweat working and planning, struggling and calculating. And when you know you're so close to the end, you may or may not see results yet. The proverbial wind may be blowing in on you, there may still be snow on the ground and you may not have seen the sun for weeks, but you know what you want and you know it's just around the corner. This is the perfect time for you to picture that day on the beach. This is the perfect time to wipe the sweat from your brow and realize that you've just got a bit to go. This is the time to confront the frustrations and obstacles that stand in your way and push right through them.

There is a saying that refers to the month of March: it comes "in like a lion, out like a lamb." The month starts out bold and fierce with a tenacious wind… and ends up mild and pleasant with a renewed breeze. Well, flip that saying on its head and go out like a lion. Be the force of nature that is bold and fierce and tenacious. Go after your dream "in like a lion, out like a lion!"
