"When you are discontent, you always want more, more, more. Your desire can never be satisfied. But when you practice contentment, you can say to yourself, 'Oh yes - I already have everything that I really need.'" – Dalai Lama
Bob always had to have the newest things. He always reading articles about a new device or the latest gadget and he would have to buy it. He was always looking for the new and improved technology. Never content with the current smartphone, he would buy the newest one with the latest features. He was first in line for the BetaMax, Zune, Google Glass and the HD DVD. Most of what he bought was rarely tested or had early design flaws and ended up not getting used. Bob was rarely content and used shopping and things to fill his needs. Bob also had a hard time being satisfied with his relationships and his business. Bob simply wasn't happy with himself and he turned to the latest toy to make him feel better. As his relationships failed around him, so did his business and he was left with empty gadgets and blame.
It's okay to want things. It's better to be certain that they are in the path to your chief aim. Love people and use money. Follow your bliss down the right path and you will have much more consistent fulfillment in your life.
