A Sip of GIN for Saturday July 30
Dear GIN Family,
How do you stay fresh, full of vitality, focused, filled with energy and power, and immersed in faith and courage? How do you stay on point and the leading edge? We obtain those things by investing in your most important asset and that is “You.” I like to call it the “You Factor.” If you don’t take care of you, no one else will. If you don’t study, no can do it for you. If you don’t take 100% responsibility for your health, no else can do it for you. Taking care of you does not mean the neglect of others. In fact, the very opposite is true. When Melinda and I got married, we made a vow to take care of each other by taking care of ourselves. Our vow was (and still is today) “I will work on me for you if you work on you for me.”
The more profitable I make my companies, the better I can serve my customers. The more I take care of me, the more I can take care of you. Taking care of me is not being selfish. What is being selfish is when I take advantage of you for the betterment of me. This is why our business is based on this principle: “We do not use people to build our business, we use our business to build people.”
This is what we do in GIN. We don’t go out and try to recruit people so that our club can grow; we go out and find people we can help and support with the aid of our club. That becomes a powerful dynamic. Build a better you for me, and I will build a better me for you!
